Mark 11:23 New International Version (NIV)
“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”
“Moving mountains” was a phrase used by the rabbis to describe overcoming seemingly impossible difficulties. Jesus was using the word “mountain” symbolically to refer to any high obstacle that might stand in our way.
Jesus said we should speak to the mountain or the problems. Most people speak to God about their problem, but few follow Jesus’ instructions and speak directly to the “mountain.” God has put certain things under our authority, and we must exercise it. When a problem stands in our way, we must speak to the problem and command it to get out of our way in the name of Jesus. If we pray according to Mark 11:23, (i.e. full of faith and with no doubt in our hearts whatsoever) , commanding all the problems that come along our way to go , they will surely go.
We are instructed to speak with power and authority that has been given to us. We ought to give thanks for the results before we even see them. We also have to stand firm in our belief that it’s already been done for us. That’s what faith does. Faith does not look at the magnitude of the problem but acknowledges how big our God is. With that attitude, we will surely see any problem go away.
Start speaking to your mountains today ! Do not wait for them to start speaking to you! And never ever let any mountain speak to you!
